On September 2, 2014, Legal Aid Ontario announced new funding to its 6 SLASS clinics to assist them in delivering desperately needed family law services. For the University of Toronto’s Downtown Legal Services, this new funding will allow them to expand their current family law practice to serve more clients. For the 5 other SLASS clinics, Osgoode Hall Law School’s Community and Legal Aid Services Program, University of Ottawa’s Community Legal Clinic, Queen’s Legal Aid, Western University’s Community Legal Services and University of Windsor’s Community Legal Aid , this funding will allow them establish new family law practices.
