Advocacy
Since its inception ACCLE has actively advocated for clinical legal educators and clinical legal education programs across Canada. Our activities have included consultations, written submissions, appearance at standing committees and legal intervention.
Consultation with National Requirement Review Committee of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada
At the invitation of the National Requirement Review Committee (NRRC), ACCLE submitted written feedback to the NRRC on proposed changes as well as the process for reviewing the National Requirement. Any effort that seeks to set out competencies for law students and recent calls must start with analysis of why this is important to accreditation and then how it must be achieved.
